EMEA Energy Industry Go-To-Market (GTM) Leader

The role

This is a senior executive role responsible for shaping Databricks' energy industry engagement across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Reporting to the Global GTM Head, the leader will develop strategic vision, drive pipeline growth, and cultivate executive relationships with major energy companies while collaborating across sales, engineering, and marketing teams.

What you'd do

• Direct AI strategy conversations with energy sector executives and C-suite teams
• Establish and nurture senior-level relationships with customers and industry partners across EMEA
• Execute go-to-market initiatives across oil, gas, power, utilities, renewables, and mining sectors
• Develop and monitor key performance metrics for GTM programs with continuous optimization
• Align sales, field engineering, marketing, partnerships, and product teams on industry-specific programs
• Create thought leadership content for industry publications and executive conferences
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements to refine strategy
• Travel regularly for customer engagement and industry events

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of energy sector leadership experience
• At least 5 years in go-to-market, strategy, or business development roles
• Background with strategic consulting firms or product-led technology companies preferred
• Proven commercial success launching technology platforms with measurable outcomes
• Deep expertise in subsurface intelligence, industrial AI, energy trading, or grid resilience
• Knowledge of energy industry standards and frameworks in EMEA
• Understanding of modern data and AI technology applications in energy
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
• Track record building trusted relationships with senior executives in multicultural environments
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with ability to translate technical concepts for executives

Nice to have

• MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification
• Experience with MBB consulting firms
