Manager, Solutions Engineering, Mid-Market

The role

This manager role leads Notion's technical sales function for mid-market customers across the Americas region. The position combines hands-on customer engagement with team leadership, requiring someone to build scalable demos and proofs of concept while mentoring Solutions Engineers and influencing product strategy through customer insights.

What you'd do

• Manage and mentor a Solutions Engineering team supporting mid-market account executives
• Establish standards for technical discovery, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept execution
• Guide customers on identity management, data loss prevention, and API integration requirements
• Respond to RFP requests and security questionnaires with detailed technical responses
• Represent the company at customer meetings and industry events; create technical enablement content

What they're looking for

• Minimum 5+ years as a Solutions or Sales Engineer with prior team leadership experience
• Deep technical knowledge of SaaS integrations, platform architecture, and real-world API applications
• Strong executive communication skills and proven cross-functional partnership with Sales, Product, and Marketing
• Demonstrated project leadership ability and adaptability in rapidly evolving environments
• Intellectual curiosity about AI technology and practical productivity applications

Nice to have

• Early-stage startup background
• Hands-on experience with Notion and relational database design
• Familiarity with large language models and AI workflow optimization
• Scripting ability using Notion API
