Software Engineer, Growth Platform

The role

This role sits within Ramp's growth engineering team, responsible for constructing foundational systems that accelerate user acquisition and engagement. The engineer will own technical challenges spanning data pipelines, customer-facing applications, and AI-driven workflows while collaborating across product, data, and design teams.

What you'd do

• Develop software enabling user growth and scaling to millions
• Build and maintain internal platforms for workflow automation, incentive management, and sales tooling
• Design data ingestion and activation systems across Ramp's ecosystem and third-party integrations
• Implement AI and language models for data processing, personalization, and growth signal identification
• Drive outcomes through experimentation and metrics-focused engineering
• Make informed decisions on custom development versus third-party solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in fast-paced environment

• Minimum three years of software development experience
• Track record shipping dependable applications with contemporary tools

• Technical co-founder or earliest-stage engineering background
• Proficiency with modern data infrastructure and ETL platforms
• Production experience with AI and large language models
• Strong engineering practices including design, testing, and documentation

• Knowledge of marketing automation and sales analytics tools
